Welcome to the Buckeye State! Ohio marks a significant geographical area in the United States as a dividing point between New England, the Midwest, the South, and the Appalachians. With a wealth of professional sports teams, family amusement parks, literally thousands of lakes and rivers, and several large urban areas, Ohio offers something for every traveler's taste.

Love professional sports? You'll love Ohio! The state is home to two Major League Baseball teams with the Cincinnati Reds and Cleveland Indians; two National Football League teams with the Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns, and a National Basketball Association team with the Cleveland Caveliers. Columbus is home to three professional teams, playing host to the National Hockey League's Columbus Blue Jackets Major League Soccer's Columbus Crew, and the Arena Football League's Columbus Destroyers.

Do you love the nightlife? Ohio is home to several large metropolitan areas, including Cleveland, Cincinnati, and Columbus. These cities offer all of the opportunities for arts & culture, entertainment, shopping, dining, and nightlife that cities their size typically provide, and they do it in friendly Ohio style. Perhaps you're more a fan of the great outdoors? The Buckeye State is the location of more than 2,500 lakes and more than 43,000 miles of rivers, making for an ideal destination for fishing, boating, and other water sports. Summer in Ohio often finds the waterways filled with sunny day revelers pulling lunker bass out of the waters.

Three major amusement parks and a host of other family-friendly attractions have made tourism an important factor in the state's economy. Movie buffs may find Paramount's Kings Island theme park of special interest. In addition to the Eiffel Tower replica that stands as the park's centerpiece, the park boasts several thrill rides themed after popular movies, including The Italian Job, Rugrats, and many others. The park is also home to The Beast, heralded as the world's longest wooden roller coasters and among the top ranking in the world.

Ohio is also home to the worlds largest amusement park at Cedar Point. Sixteen roller coasters and 68 rides total call this thrill-filled park home.

From metropolitan splendor to the thrills of the theme parks, the Buckeye State makes for an ideal destination for a family vacation, romantic getaway, or group outing!
