Everything is bigger in Texas, and that includes the amount of fun visitors have when they visit the Lone Star State. The state features a bit of all cultures & natural beauty, boasting three of the Top Ten largest cities in the United States, as well as offering plenty of open range, wooded acres, rolling hills, and bubbling rivers.

The state's regions are varied in geography, culture, and economy, and exploring the Great State of Texas can take as little or as long as time allows. The Texas Hill Country features sparkling rivers, desert foliage on rolling hills, and the Live Entertainment Capital of the World - Austin, Texas! Remember the Alamo in San Antonio as you head southward to the South Texas Plains, where a shared border with Mexico breeds a true taste of the Southwest. Head east along the Gulf Coast, where 500 miles of sandy beaches from Corpus Christi to Galveston lead to a peaceful, easy feeling and a laidback style.

Travel north from Galveston through Houston, the fourth largest city in the country, and continue onward to the Pineywoods of Deep East Texas. Here you can stroll along the brick streets of Nacogdoches, the Oldest Town in Texas, and fish the unparalleled waters of sprawling man-made lakes at Sam Rayburn & Toledo Bend Reservoirs. Continue back northwest and you'll arrive in the heart of Texas' prairies and lakes. Plan on spending time enjoying the excitement of the big city, Texas-style in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, then head down to Waco to tour the campus of Baylor University. Continue into the Panhandle Plains, where cities like Lubbock and Amarillo provide an urban twist to the stunning natural vistas of the flatlands. Finally, as you head onward toward the West Texas town of El Paso, you'll encounter a true taste of desert flavor and Old West charm with roadside cacti and stunning mountains of the wild Big Bend Country.

Fans of professional sports won't be disappointed in Texas. Professional sports teams in Texas include the NFL's Dallas Cowboys & Houston Texans, MLB's Houston Astros & Texas Rangers, NBA's Dallas Mavericks, Houston Rockets, & San Antonio Spurs, and the NHL's Dallas Stars.

From outdoor splendor to the lights of the city, the Lone Star State offers an endless playground for visitors. No matter what kind of excitement or relaxation you're seeking, you'll find when you travel to Texas - after all, "It's Like a Whole Other Country."
